Where do I start?

I'm not quite sure what I expect out of this blog or even if I'll make it public knowledge. For now, it's just for me to write, whenever I feel like it, about trying something new.

I don't exactly come from a physical active family though at some point in the past year I've been pondering my lack of activity. Time is of the essence - but then again, when is it not? Using the excuse of working multiple jobs that can take up almost every waking moment, that's not an excuse, is it? Is it?

Not really because I know that if I really wanted to find the time to do something I'd find it.

I decided to attempt something that wasn't going to break the bank. Running. Ok, don't laugh. I'm not a runner by any means but at least I want to try it out. After some research and calling around I found a Learn To Run clinic hosted by the Running Room on days that could work for me. Except that I needed a lot of help.

For one, I need someone to watch D since G will never get home in time for me to make it to the clinics during the week. This is where my parents come in. I asked and they've agreed to watching D if I drop him off on my clinic days.

Now it's just a waiting game. The clinic starts on May 30th. Only a few weeks away. Except that I'm motivated now. So in the meantime I decided to get prepared for this craziness of running. I bought Jillian Michaels 30-day Shred DVD to hopefully gain some piddly amount of endurance so I don't completely embarrass myself at the LTR clinic.

The good news is that I'm on Day 12 and still sticking with it. I know - I surprised myself, too.
